Human Rights Education Programme

The overall aim of HREP is to
contribute towards the development
of a civil and humane society by
educating children and young people
in order to positively alter their
perceptions, beliefs, values and
attitudes with respect to human
rights.
To achieve its aim, HREP is currently
working on 5 projects: 1. Teaching
Human Rights Education in primary
and secondary schools and colleges;
2. Provision of material development
such as teachers manuals,
publications and curriculum
development in social studies; 3.
Training of teachers in primary and
secondary schools through
workshops; 4. Establishment of a
resource centre; 5. Organisation of
activities and events such as art and
drama, email links, media work and
setting up a network called Right-On
Network.
