To help poor and disabled children;
to educate poor children of rural and
urban areas and on the streets; to
provide health care, education,
nutrition, assistance, treatment and
rehabilitation to those children.
HDRO has been actively working on
awareness of causes and
preventions of disabilities, early
detection and intervention, and
trying to integrate disability as a
cross-cutting development issue.
HDRO has been working for advocacy
and lobbying for rights of people with
disabilities in Bangladesh. It runs a
rehabilitation programme for people
with disabilities. It presently
supports 125 children with
disabilities, provides immunisation
support to 3925 children, and
provides basic education serives to
300 children in ten education centres
in rural areas of the Chandpur
district.
