Hope for Children UK

HOPE's aims and objectives are to
assist children, in particular those
living in developing countries, who
are disabled ,orphaned, poor and
exploited. This is achieved through
providing, promoting and advancing
children's rights to basic necessities
which include education and good
health aimed at sustaining their long
term development.
1. We recognise that the child, for
the full and harmonious development
of his or her personality should grow
up in an atmosphere of happiness,
love and understanding
2. We recognise that the family , as
the fundamental group of society
and providing the natural
environment for growth and well-
being of all its members and
particularly children, should be
afforded the necessary protection
and assistance in order to fully
assume his/her responsibilities
within the community. We also
recognise that a child temporarily or
permanently deprived of his or her
family environment , must receive
compensatory love and care
3. We believe people possess a wide
range of talents, abilities , skill ,
resources and aspirations. Therefore
we focus on human potential and on
people's untapped resources of
mental, physical, emotional and
spiritual abilities being fully
harnessed
4. In all our work we use the
standards set in the Convention on
the Rights of the Child as our point of
reference
5. We believe in working with the
children's own families or
alternatively via local agencies//
representatives sensitive to the
cultural needs of children

Primary areas of work: Refugees,
orphaned, poor, handicapped, street
children, exploited, cultural needs of
children.
