The Department of Child and Youth Care at DUT is the only provider of diplomas and degrees (higher education) in South Africa, and possibly, Africa as a whole. The aim is to provide relevant eduaction and training (including practical training) for students to qualify as child and youth care workers. Their focus is on equipping students to be able work effectively with children and youth at risk.
