Childline Zimbabwe

Childline Zimbabwe provides the only 24 hour counselling and supportive services to children throughout the country who have been abused (sexually, physically, emotionally and neglected). Childline Zimbabwe provide follow-up services to these children and their families, because the statutory services (police and Social welfare Dept) do not have the capacity to meet the demand and needs of the chiChildline Zimbabwe offers:
1. 24 hour freephone Helpline service (3 digits)
2. Free post service for those children who do not have access to a telephone
3. Drop-in Centres in Harare and Bulawayo providing free counselling and advice on all issues relating to children.
4. Advocacy work raising awareness in the community of the UN Convention on Children's Rights, and influencing legislature and policies on children's rights.
5. Training and educating children, professionals and all those involved with children on Children's rights and tackling issues of child abuse.
6. Research.
