Centro de Investigaciones Multidisciplinarias para el Desarrollo

CIMDER produces and disseminates
health knowledge, and trains health
workers, with the goal of improving
the well-being of people throughout
Colombia. Research started on a
primary health care model back in
1973, some five years before the
World Health Organization officially
endorsed the model.
CIMDER's efforts focus on the design,
implementation, and evaluation of
health technologies and programs
(e.g. primary health care, social
participation in health, health
education, and the management of
health centres and institutions).
