Association for the Protection of Women's and Children's Rights (APWCR)

APWCR works to promote and protect human rights through

education, field research, advocacy, and unique development programmes at the community and government level, with much emphasis on women and children.

OBJECTIVES

1. Protect and promote human rights in Cameroon.
2. Ensure full integration of disadvantages groups particularly women, children, the aged, the handicapped and orphans.
3. Combat trafficking of Children, child labor and torture.
4. Sponsor orphans discovered with no guardians at least at the elementary level in education.
5. Disseminate the convention on the rights of the child to adults.
6. Facilitate access to basic educational, health care and portable water facilities to the underprivileged communities.
7. Combat gender based violence especially female genital mutilation, forced, and early marriages
8. Receiving complaints on alleged human rights abuses and after investigation the use of alternative dispute resolution in solving conflicts.
9. Farming: Piggery, plantains, cassava and palms plantations to reduce hunger and fight poverty in Cameroon and carrying any other development program to help our communities.
10. Bringing together all human beings of good Morals who are willing to sacrifice time voluntarily in the protection of human rights abuses without distinction such as religion, sex, color, language, political or other opinions, National or social origin, property, birth or other status.
