UNITED KINGDOM: The Good Childhood Inquiry [call for participation]

On 18 September, amid increasing concerns about the state of childhood today, The Children's Society launched the UK's first independent national inquiry into childhood. The Good Childhood Inquiry aims to open an inclusive debate about the nature of childhood today that will help shape future policy and inspire our relationships with children.

The Children's Society has already asked thousands of young people what they think makes for a good childhood, and their responses can be read in the report Good childhood? a question for our times, available free of charge from http://www.goodchildhood.org.uk. The Children's Society is now calling for inputs in its enquiry on childhood in the UK today.

More information on the inquiry, its themes and the call for evidence questions is available at http://www.goodchildhood.org.uk. Submissions can be made via the website, by email to [email protected], or in hard copy to:
