Time to Take Action on Votes at 16

Summary: The campaign to lower the voting
age to 16 is being launched at the
House of Commons at 11am on
Tuesday 28 January 2003. With the
Electoral Commission having agreed
to formally review the voting age and
make recommendations to
Parliament, this represents the
biggest opportunity for electoral
reform since 1969 when the voting
age was reduced to 18.
