Results of the 2008 CRC elections

Summary: On 16 December 2008, the States parties to the CRC elected 9 members of the Committee. The 3 members running for re-election - Ms. Lee, Mr. Zermatten and Mr. Pollar - were all elected during the first round.

The new members were Mr. Sanphasit Koompraphant (Thailand), Ms. Marta Mauras Perez (Chile), Ms. Hadeel Al-Asmar (Syrian Arab Republic), Mr. Peter Guran (Slovakia), Ms. Susana Villarán de la Puente (Peru) and Ms. Kamla Devi Varmah (Mauritius).
