HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL: New deadline for UPR submissions

The deadline for submissions by NGOs to the 1st Universal Periodic Review session (scheduled to be held from 7 to 18 April 2008) has been extended to
20 November 2007.

In response to queries from several NGOs, in light of the four-year periodicity of the first round of UPR, contributions from stakeholders should cover a maximum four year-time period.
