2014: Member of the Appeals Chamber of the residual Special Court for Sierra Leone. President of the International Association of Youth and Family Court Judges and Magistrates for four years during this period.

Why do you want to serve on the CRC?
I want to finalize General Comments started during my first period as member of the CRC, prepare the Days of General Discussion, continue advocating for child friendly juvenile justice worldwide, continue to work as chair for the OPIC, as more specifically child friendly rules for working in this regard are to be developed and to continue as focal point for persons disappeared in connection with collaboration with the CRC. I most of all want to assist member States in fulfilling their obligations concerning their children.
What do you see as important emerging child rights issues that you believe the Committee should be addressing?
Children on the move, children and the environment are emerging issues. Cutting of budgetary provisions for children as well as raising discrimination against vulnerable children are challenges.
