In its annual country report on Bahrain for 2005, the U.S. Department of State mentions the Bahraini Ministry of Social Development's ban on a gathering which was to be organised by Bahrain Child Society in July 2005. The U.S. Department of State publishes annual reports about Human Rights in all countries, and in its 2005 report about Bahrain, it has mentioned a whole paragraph about the ban of Bahrain Child's Society by the ministry of social development. The report: http://www.state.gov/g/drl/rls/hrrpt/2005/61686.htm Quote from the report: "On July 29, the press reported that the Ministry of Social Affairs blocked the Bahrain Child Society from holding a gathering. A representative of the ministry told the press that the society had not registered with the government and therefore was not authorized to organize activities. A member of the society's preparatory committee claimed that they had applied for registration 11 months before but had not yet received approval from the ministry".
