Education: The Right to Education - Reaching Every Child

Summary: Education is a human right and, therefore, a child’s right. As educators and advocates, we are challenged to ensure that our schools and classrooms respect the rights of children and that the right to education is given a high priority. Every individual, irrespective of race, gender, nationality, ethnic or social origin, religion or political preference, age or disability, is entitled to an education.

At ACEI’s annual conference you will have an opportunity to network with educators who have a broad range of perspectives on childhood education today. Educators who believe that every child in every nation has a right to access and receive a quality education. ACEI’s conference will challenge you to consider education from a global point of view and provide you with a forum to come together with educators and advocates who truly believe in ensuring the child’s right to education.

ADVOCACY and PUBLIC POLICY, sessions including the State of the World’s Children, Policy Perspectives on Early Intervention, Innovative Early Childhood Development Initiatives, Striving For Gender Equity.

SPECIAL HIGHLIGHT SESSIONS from innovative organizations, including Pratham–India’s largest NGO; Alliance for Childhood; Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies; New Orleans Institute for Mental Health; RETHINK New Orleans; the Bounce Learning Network; the Afterschool Alliance; and a panel discussion on charter schools in America.
