Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR): Session 51

Summary: The 51st Session of the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights will take place from 4 - 29 November 2013.

Opportunities for child rights advocates

In addition to providing information on upcoming reviews by the Committee on the Rights of the Child (and indeed on the subsequent Concluding Observations issued), CRIN encourages children's rights advocates to use the full range of opportunities within the UN and regional human rights mechanisms to pursue children's rights advocacy.

Reporting to treaty bodies beyond the Committee on the Rights of the Child presents an opportunity for advocates to raise and press home children's rights issues.
