The European Foundation for Street Children Worldwide (EFSCW) is organising a photographic exhibition accompanied by live music in July in Belgium. The event will feature photographs taken by Dutch photographer Ton Hendricks who specialises in photographic portraits of street children around the world. EFSCW will display these photographs so as to increase public and political awareness regarding the living conditions of this most vulnerable group, and the urgent need for their protection and reintegration, not only in developing countries but also in many EU Member States. It will be an opportunity for guests to learn more about the situation of street children around the world. Furthermore, it will allow participants to meet other interested people from social and humanitarian NGOs as well as various actors concerned with this issue in the European and International Institutions, the regional and local governments of EU Member States, research institutes and the press.
