Trafficking and exploitation of street and railway children in India and Bangladesh

Summary: The streets and railway stations of India and Bangladesh are increasingly becoming the home of children who have run away from their parental home for various reasons. This research aims to explore their vulnerabilities to, and incidence in abuse, violence and exploitation, in Howrah, Sealdah, Asansol, Bardhaman and Maldah stations in West Bengal and the streets of Khulna and Barisal in Bangladesh. This research is being done with three partner organisations – Don Bosco Ashalayam, Praajak and Aparajeyo Bangladesh.
