A Situational Analysis of Child Sex Tourism in Nepal. Kathmandu Valley and Pohkara

One of 4 studies on child sex tourism in South Asia undertaken by ECPAT International. Objectives of the study were to gather information on the nature, scope and manifestations of child sex tourism in the Kathmandu Valley and Pokhara. The report is based on a 3 month research. The study highlights child sex tourism as an indistinct but emerging issue in Nepal. It analyses children as “at risk”, looks into push and pull factors involved with child sex tourism and recommends preventative measures to be taken.
