Children's Ombudsperson

The Committee on the Rights of the Child noted the establishment of a Specialised Unit for Children and Youth within the Office of the Ombudsman (Defensoria del Pueblo) in its 2011 Observations, but expressed concern at the lack of staff trained and specialised in children's rights and the lack of financial resources allocated to the unit.
