Children's Ombudsperson

There is a Children's Rights Department within the Independent Authority of the Greek Ombudsman, a department which the Committee on the Rights of the Child identified as an effective complaints and monitoring mechanism in 2012. The Committee expressed concern, however, at the possibility that the Ombudsperson may not be allocated sufficient resources in the future to support the mandate of the Children's Rights Department, and urged the State to ensure the continuity of the Department’s mandate.
