Summary: The Media Monitoring Project is an NGO
monitoring the media on issues linked to
gender, race, HIV, crime, poverty, elections
and children. It is running an Empowering
Children and Media (ECM) project (funded by
UNICEF and Save the Children Sweden) to
monitor how children are represented in the
South African news media, and the implication
