There are strong reasons to include the interests of children in any
discussion of housing and urban issues. Half of the world's
population are children and most reside in urban areas. Children
spend much of their time in the home and in its immediate vicinity
and so these environments have great social and emotional impact.
This booklet highlights the relevance of the Convention, children's
voices and conclusions and implications for planners and
practitioners.
