The Boys and the Bullies: A Situational Analysis Report on Prostitution of Boys in Bangladesh

The study reveals the issues related to commercial sexual exploitation (CSE) of boys particularly in the context of Bangladesh. The report shows that the incidences of CSE is charged by age, urbanization, migration, family problems and is highly contributed by poverty. It also points out that the present legal provision is inept in protecting the sexually exploited boys under the provisions of CRC, but puts them more at risk of getting prosecuted. These boys are also at risk of getting infected with HIV/AIDS and the efforts made so far in creating awareness amongst them are not enough and effective.
