BOLIVIA: Child Labour: A comparison of estimates from MECOVI and MICS survey instruments

Summary: Child labour in Bolivia is analysed applying two recent surveys, MECOVI 2000 (World Bank) and MICS 2000(UNICEF). The analysis aims at contrasting and comparing the survey findings relating to the incidence and characteristics of children’s work. The extent to which the findings are survey-dependent is assessed and implications for the design and implementation for future surveys for the analysis of child labour is discussed.Owner: L.
