Assessment and Analysis of the Situation of Children as Primary Caregivers in Vietnam

This is the final report of the Child Protection Project supported by CIDA. CIDA funding has been used for:

  • The study on Institutional and Alternative Care in Viet Nam
  • A follow-up workshop with stakeholders on research results
  • Development of Government policies on alternative care, including a draft National Plan of Action for Alternative Care, 2005 – 2010 
  •  Training for caregivers of people affected by HIV/AIDS.

This report was part of the Canadian International Development Agency's (CIDA) child protection research fund.
