This survey was carried out on behalf of the Committee on the Rights of the Child, which is producing a report known as a General Comment. This General Comment will set out what governments need to do to make sure that all the rights in the Convention on the Rights of the Child are being respected for all adolescents around the world.
Once the report is finished, it will provide guidance for every government (except the USA which has not signed up to the Convention on the Rights of the Child) - with each of these governments expected to take account of it in the way they develop laws, policies and services that affect young people’s lives.
This questionnaire for young people aged 10-17 was developed in partnership with adults and young people and published in English, French and Spanish by Child to Child across social media platforms.
