Society is an non-governmental,
women's development organisation
working for the advancement of the
marginalised at the grass root level. It concentrates on the social and
economic uplift of the communities
thorough efforts for collective action.
The development of the under
privileged especially in the rural
areas is taken as a continuous
process. Society encourages the
initiatives of the community-based
women's groups to strengthen their
capacity for eradication of poverty,
illiteracy and other social evils. In this
context, Society seeks cooperation
and close linkages with congruent
organisations, community-based
organisations and other experts from
the field.
