Benin and Andorra have joined the list of now 46 states prohibiting all forms of corporal punishment. Benin is the seventh in Africa and Andorra is the 28th county in Europe.

Nicaragua follows the other Latin American countries - Argentina, Brazil and Bolivia - in prohibiting all forms of corporal punishment of children in 2014. 

Estonia has become the latest country to ban corporal punishment of children, including in the home.

San Marino has become the latest State to achieve prohibition of all corporal punishment of children in 2014.

Argentina has become the 41st State globally, and the seventh in Latin America, to ban all forms of corporal punishment against children. 

Cape Verde has joined the list of states enacting legislation which prohibits all corporal punishment of children, including within the family.
