Supporting the rural community Lakamali focuses on the elimination of child labour. It is a national non- governmental organisation targeting women and children. Lakamali has a regional focus in South East Asia and works in Indonesia. Lakamali is operational relating to children's welfare and rights. "The reality is that too many children do not live up to their own minimum standards in these areas , children suffer from povery , homelessness, abuse, neglect , preventable needs, children of minority groups are often particularly affected . These are problems that occure in isolated rural areas of developing nations. Lakamali seeks the rights of all children and recognises the urgency of of ensuring their will being and development. and seeks to make clear the idea that a basic quality of life should be the right of all children rather than a privilege to be enjoyed by a few. Lakmali works through training advocacy and technical support.
