The office co-ordinates the Europe As the powers of the European Union have grown, the Europe Group has been concerned with ensuring that the activities of the Union guarantee full respect for children's human rights. The Europe Group believes that the institutions of the EU need to take greater account of children's rights and interests. The work of the office involves regular meetings both formal and informal with members of the Commission and the European Parliament, members of the Presidency's representations and other NGOs. Current work priorities for the Europe Group are: · Fight Against Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of children · EU Asylum Policy · Human Rights · Children in Armed Conflict · Development · Social Exclusion and Children's participation
Group of Save the Children. This is a
regional grouping of Save the
Children Members working in eight
EU states and three non EU states. All
of them believe that the defence of
children's human rights lies at the
heart of their work.
