Gündem Çocuk (Agenda:Child!) is a non-profit organisation that works towards the goal of spreading and developing global human rights culture by pursuing the acceptance and universalisation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child agreement in society. With this goal in mind we, Gündem Çocuk:
• Accept the Convention on the Rights of the Child as a basis of principle and are determined to implement this agreement in society as a rudimentary objective.
• Work to bring consciousness and sensitivity to society as a whole concerning children’s and human rights.
• Consider organisations and people already working with children as a target audience and welcome them to collaborate with us.
• Organise activities to introduce, universalise, implement, and monitor the implementation of items specified in the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
• Aim to ensure that children are brought up as aware people about their own rights.
• Produce political material in line with the Convention on the Rights of the Child and strive to universalise and strengthen such politics. We also promote the development of legislation based on these politics and work to attract public attention towards legislation that is being implemented effectively and productively.
• Research and develop new opportunities to collaborate with ongoing projects and organisations both nationally and internationally in hope of increasing cultural dialogue, mutual understanding, and tolerance across borders as well as domestic social barriers.
• Work to create more information sources on children’s rights and provide support for these sources.
