GoodWeave USA

GoodWeave USA is part of GoodWeave International, which works through its certification program to end exploitative child labor and improve labor conditions in weaving communities in South Asia. A public-private partnership, GoodWeave USA and affiliates are responsible for funding and operating schools and social programs, monitoring manufacturing sites, ensuring the ethical production of handBy agreeing to adhere to strict guidelines for carpet production, and by permitting random GoodWeave® inspections of carpet looms, producers receive the right to put the GoodWeave label on their carpets. The GoodWeave® label guarantees the carpet was not made by children and that a contribution has been made to educate former child carpet weavers. GoodWeave USA, formerly RugMark, is a global program under the umbrella of GoodWeave International, which has registered the GoodWeave names and logo as trademarks. India and Nepal are the carpet-producing countries currently participating in the GoodWeave program.
