Conforti Community Aid children Organization (CCACO) is a local NGO engaged in child protection, youth and women empowerment, education and agricultural activities.

CCACO was formed in 1998 by youths with a vision to assist disadvantaged children in need like the handicapped, orphans, war affected, needy and street children.

During the ten years civil war in Sierra Leone, most families suffered loss of family members and property, also a lot of children became orphans, some were separated from their families due to abductions by rebels, others were abandoned by their parents as the war intensifies. As such there were lots of children roaming the streets of Freetown and rural areas, some engaged in petit crime as means of survival.

As a measure to check this alarming and unfortunate situation, a group of concern, patriotic youths and parents living in and around Calaba Town, decided to form this Organisation (CCACO) with set aims and objectives to address the problems these children were facing.
