BIHR works towards developing and
improving human rights protection at
home and abroad.

In seeking to achieve this end the
Institute has a unique role to play in:-
* promoting public awareness of
human rights. This includes
developing community outreach
programmes to help those who are
socially and economically isolated to
understand more about human
rights
*providing specialised human rights
education and training, and
undertaking effective research with
a view to contributing to the
development of policy from a human
rights perspective.
