UK: Fears over enforced cell-sharing for children in prison

Summary: The Youth Justice Board has launched new proposals for cell-sharing for youth offenders. This move comes in the wake of severe over crowding of British prisons, with over 2531 young people in custody as of May 2006. Up to 30% of these children have been offically classed as vulnerable, and these moves could cause further violence in UK prisons.pdf: http://www.crin.org/docs/hlpr_cell_sharing.pdf
