The right to life is an inherent right as in Article 6 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly. We, in Be-Free Center work for the prevention of all forms of child abuse and neglect. We are inspired by this UN convention and we teach the children the principles rooted in the Convention We also teach children that the UN is the Human Rights savior, even if politics tries to deprive humans from their rights. Now, with all this violence and trespassing of their Palestinian peers, the discrepancies are very clear between what we teach and what they examined. Children ask us about the right to life while they see innocent Palestinian children dying everyday. They ask us: "Aren’t they children and the world should protect them? Why nobody is defending them? Why is the United Nations not taking any action?
They keep asking questions, unfortunately, we cannot answer any. Some of them are having nightmares due to horrible scene they see or hear about their peers in Gaza. They are afraid that Israeli's military ghost is going to steel their security, happiness, parents, and their lives also.
This is the attitude of this usurper entity of that has extorted the Palestinians rights in general and their children rights in particular.
What excuse do the International Organizations have while the people look at them with hope that they'll save the children!!
What is their excuse after missing their sense of children's pain. These Palestinian Children are without their basic necessities of life: shelter, water, or medicine. Even if the shelters are available, the sense of security is missing, schools are demolished over their heads, and parents die in front of their eyes without being able to do anything, except staying alone struggling in pain, with a mysterious absence of International Organizations Interventions. These organizations raise slogans, but their slogans are all gone with the wind.
We, In Be-Free Center for child protection of abuse and neglect, condemn what is happening to the innocent children in Gaza and all the innocent civilians. We demand:
§ Immediate and urgent cease-fire.
§ Lifting the siege imposed on Gaza and to allow access to all supplies and humanitarian aid from the crew of doctors, medicines, food and other.
§ The world needs to first stand and reconcile with its principles, and then save the innocent children and defenceless civilians, and provide them with medicine and food to enjoy their full rights.
§ The Security Council to take a firm decision, and that the political disputes, and trafficking in the lives of innocent people should stop, and to clearly condemn this brutal aggression.
§ The International media organizations, especially the organizations concerned with Human Rights, to adopt the issue of Gaza, and to deliver the voice and the suffering of the people of Gaza.
§ That the occupation authority should not get away with its crimes this time, as it has always been the case, and to prevent such tragedies from recurring as the human sense can't handle it anymore.
We raise our demands to your International Organization to say our word, we and all our children - before we loose our trust in UN- be an ally to the victims and don't be an ally to the oppressor.
Finally, we turn to our people in Gaza to support them, and say:" We are proud of your endurance, we feel pain by your grief, and we say to you that persistence on the way to restoring your rights is an honor that no one has preceded you to. You taught the generations how to live adhering to the principles, and how to inspire hope no matter how long the night of the oppressor is, until the rights are all back again".
