INDIA: Letter on World Aids Day

Summary: Activities for children organised by Shabnam
Resources on World Aids Day, 1 December
2004.
The children took out a rally among the community with different cadres of
people like lower income groups, medium income groups etc. They took out
placards reaching out the message on how to love and care for hiv and
aids affected brethren. More focus was given on how food plays a vital role
in their life, progressing children's education despite challenges, skill
development avenues, respectful funerals, above all how to love and care
them. The attitude behind was continuum of care by community on hiv
infected brethren they come across, whereby showing this no longer
remains a stigma and catastrophe among the the minds of people. There
were signs of ways to avoid and keep away from this virus.
