ARGENTINA: Pan-American Civil Society Forum
Civil society organisations across the Americas participated in a two-day forum in August to discuss State policies on children and young people in the region.
Participants included 52 representatives from 33 civil society organisations forum. Recommendations made during the forum, which was organised by the Organisation of American States and the Inter-American Institute on Children, will be presented at the 20th Pan-American Children's Congress which will take place from 23-25 September.
Recommendations addressed:
- Compliance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child in the light of the Convention's 20th anniversary
- Strengthening child protection systems
- The impact of child participation on public policies
- International and regional cooperation
