AFGHANISTAN: Call for founding trustees – Afghanistan Mother and Child Charity

Afghanistan Mother and Child Charity is in the process of registering as a UK-based charity that will focus on enhancing the status of mothers and children in Afghanistan. We are looking for founding trustees that would help set the course of the charity in its early days. This is a hands on but rewarding role.
 
As a trustee you will:
  • Take part in registration of the charity;
  • Ensure compliance with UK charity laws;
  • Help recruit and manage staff and volunteers;
  • Devise fundraising strategies;
  • Develop programs;
  • Draft policies;
  • Help create a community of supporters for the charity;
  • Oversee the implementation of programs and projects.
We are looking for people with an interest in Afghanistan and the region, maternal and child health, education and the socio-cultural practices of motherhood. The ideal trustee will have academic or professional expertise in fundraising, financial management, development programing and other field of relevance.
