World Congress of NGOs (NGOs: Forces for Peace)

Summary: More than 400 NGO representatives, former and current heads of states and business leaders will gather in Jordan from November 30 to December 3, 2006 for the World Congress to address the role of civil society in promoting and building peace on the community, national, and international levels. Event session topics range from human security and the Middle East peace process to the role of women’s leadership in advancing peace.
