You might be aware that on 9 April 2014 the General Assembly adopted a resolution on "Strengthening and enhancing the effective functioning of the human rights treaty body system".
  
In light of this important development, the Human Rights Treaties Division of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) would like to invite interested civil society actors for a briefing on the outcome of the treaty bodies strengthening process.
  
The briefing will take place on Tuesday, 3 June 2014, from 14:00 to 17:00, in Geneva, Palais Wilson, Room 1-016.
