Third Asia-Pacific Inter-Governmental meeting on Human Resources Development for Youth

Summary: Takes place in Bangkok. The purpose of the inter-governmental meeting is to mainstream youth health issues, focusing on sexual and reproductive health, substance abuse and HIV/AIDS prevention.

The meeting will also facilitate dialogue between senior officials from ministries of youth, education, health and social welfare, as well as members of the NGO community and youth, on regional and national actions to address the health needs of young people.
This meeting has been organised by the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in co-operation with the United Nation's Department of Economic and Social Affairs and co-sponsored by the Swedish International Development Co-operation Agency (SIDA).
