LATIN AMERICA: Child rights in practice

The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency has announced an advanced international training programme on “Child Rights in Practice”.

The aim of the Programme is to provide participants with an in-depth knowledge of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and how it can be applied in practice. The Programme emphasises national and international contexts using the ideas and experiences of participants.

Who can participate

The first stage of this Programme will take place from 29 September – 17 October 2008 in Stockholm, Sweden; the second stage will be held in Latin America in March 2009.

“Child Rights in Practice” is aimed at professionals from Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua and Peru.

The Programme will take a maximum of 25 participants from the public sector and others who work in chid rights.
