Summary: The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights will hold its 141 session from 21 March – 1 April 2011 in Washington, D.C., USA.
The Commission will consider hearings on issues of concern in the Americas on 25, 28 and 29th of March. Find the full schedule of hearings here. Children's rights hearings on the agenda include: Audio recordings of the hearings will be available on the Commission's website. Some of the sessions will be webcast live on the website of the Organization of American States. In the hearings requested by States, civil society organisations will have 15 minutes to present any information they considers relevant. Those interested in participating should email to [email protected] by 14 March 2011, specifying the hearing they wish to attend along with the names of the individuals and/or organisations of participants. Members of the public may attend public hearings may do so, and no advance registration is required. Journalists do not need any special accreditation.
