EU Public Conference: My Destination is Unknown

My Destination is Unknown -
Children on the move: will the EU deliver on its commitments?

Brussels, 19th February 2014, 2.30-6.30 p.m.

Venue: European Parliament – Room PHS 4 B 001

“I am Farah. I am 18 years old. I left my homeland Somalia to Kenya when I was 3 years old. I left Kenya two years ago and went through several countries and the Sahara desert towards Libya. I have been in prison. I left Libya to cross the sea. It was a matter of life or death: Malta chose me” - Abdi Farah Abdullahi (Farah’s unknown destination)

Starting from the view and testimony of Farah Abdi Abdullahi, a 18 years old guy from Somalia, following the recent development on EU asylum policy and the adoption of the EP Report on the situation of Unaccompanied Minors in the EU (Rapporter MEP Nathalie Griesbeck), Destination Unknown EU Public Conference will raise awareness on the reality of children on the move in the light of EU responses.
