The 2nd CSO Forum on the ACRWC (the Forum) which will take place from 11‐12 November 2009 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and an event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the coming into force of the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child. The Forum aims to contribute to the implementation and monitoring of the ACRWC and to foster closer collaboration among civil society organisations (CSO), the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC) and other stakeholders in the promotion and protection of children’s rights in Africa. This is the second meeting of the Forum. The Forum enables CSOs to educate, share and learn from one another and to provide recommendations to the ACERWC on various pertinent matters affecting children in Africa.
