Saint Pierre and Miquelon [France]

Saint Pierre and Miquelon is a self-governing territorial overseas collectivity of France and is situated in the Atlantic Ocean near Canada. France heavily subsidises the islands; however, while healthcare is free, the islands’ economy is in decline due, in part, to disputes with Canada over fishing quotas.
