Summary: One-day multidisciplinary conference for discussing theory, research and ideas stimulated by the Green Paper "Every Child Matters" and the subsequent Children Act (2004). This Act represents a new way of thinking about childhood and the relationship between the State, families and children through five central themes: being healthy - staying safe - enjoying and achieving - making a positive contribution - economic wellbeing.
Participants are invited to submit abstracts of up to 200 words on the topics above by 28 February 2006.
