European Conference: Raising Children Without Violence (20-21 October 2005)

Summary: For five years now the right of children to an
upbringing without violence has been firmly
anchored in the German civil code. This has
prompted the Federal Minister for Family
Affairs, Renate Schmidt, to look at the
situation today, both from the perspective of
society as a whole as well as with a view to its
relevance in a united Europe.
