The International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO) in collaboration with the Decent Rural Employment Team of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is organizing a training course on “Eliminating child labour and promoting decent work in agriculture for young people of legal working age” which will take place in Turin (Italy) from November 14 to 18, 2016.
This course will address the linkages between child labour and youth employment in rural contexts with a focus on the elimination of child labour and the promotion of decent work for young workers of legal working age in agriculture.
It is intended for: actors from government as well as the private sector working to tackle child labour and to address youth employment as well as actors engaged in the promotion of positive and lasting rural transformation; labour inspectors, occupational safety and health (OSH) specialists focused on agricultural industries; representatives of member based organizations representing rural producers, fisheries, pastoralists and famers, international organizations; and representatives of NGOs and civil society organizations engaged in initiatives to eliminate child labour, and/or to promote youth employment and youth social inclusion.
